Overview


 
The Health Management (HM) Team within the Analytics Capability is looking for a Cyber Security / Information Assurance (CS/IA) engineer to support the Automated Maintenance Environment (AME) system.  The AME software acquires and manages aircraft health and usage data, performs health and usage assessment, updates aircraft configuration and recommends maintenance actions.  The team is looking for a highly motivated CS/IA engineer to support ongoing patch applicability and analysis activities as well as support Certification & Accreditation (C&A) requirements for the team.
 

The successful candidate will:
  • Analyze, implement and test security controls
  • Evaluate security vulnerability alerts/bulletins
  • Test/apply security patches
  • Create and submit C&A documentation to retain our system’s Authority To Operate in the fleet
  • Support the monitoring of network and host-based security systems
  • Conduct vulnerability scans
  • Analyze Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) on Windows-based application software systems
  • Support other CS/IA tasking as needed

Qualifications 
Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 2 or more years' experience or a Master's degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
 
Team members must have either a Security+ or a CISSP certification. May need to obtain a security clearance requiring a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI).  Software engineering or Information Technology (IT) experience, including knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and client-server and web-based architectures, is highly desirable.  Experience with either the DIACAP or RMF process is a plus.  The successful candidate will enjoy solving technically challenging problems in a fast-paced workplace, can successfully balance their focus on multiple objectives, and will proactively communicate/collaborate with co-workers and management.
 
Must have an active (or are you able to obtain) a U.S. Security Clearance, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
