Monitor, analyze, and detect Cyber events and incidents within information systems and networks. Consult on integrated, dynamic Cyber defense and leverage Cybersecurity solutions to administer Cybersecurity operational services, including intrusion detection and prevention, situational awareness of network intrusions, security events, data spillage, and incident response actions. Participate in engineering, testing, deploying, and administering the infrastructure hardware and software required to effectively manage the organization's Cybersecurity operational services, as needed. Participate in regular reporting cycles to translate state of the environment and security posture to executive management. Provide Cybersecurity engineering expertise to new departmental initiatives and projects and improve Cybersecurity processes and procedures by analyzing new or reevaluating existing procedures. Interpret data provide by Cybersecurity solutions and assist with tuning solutions to provide more meaningful reports and information. Evaluate new Cybersecurity solutions to mature Cybersecurity capabilities.

Basic Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience with IT
  • 5+ years of experience with vulnerability tool configuration, deployment, and engineering and defining policies and procedures based on government best practices
  • Experience with virtualization and the concept of containerization, including Twistlock
  • Experience with enterprise monitoring systems and SIEM ecosystem components, including IDPS, traditional and next generation endpoint protection, Web or Internet proxy, log aggregation, and NGFW
  • Experience with reviewing government guidance, including task orders, directives, STIGs, or IAVAs for applicability and implementation
  • Knowledge of networking, including OSI network layers, TCP/IP, firewalls, and load balancing
  • Knowledge of installation, configuration and troubleshooting of UNIX or Linux-based environments
  • Ability to review vulnerability scans and manage efforts to ensure all internal systems are fully patched and configured compliant with required government or equivalent regulations
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • BA or BS degree
