Job Overview: 
Senior Staff Embedded Software Engineer developing embedded ‘C’ in the field of automotive Cyber­Security. Member of worldwide distributed development team. Primary customers are North American OEMs. Products include the following technology: Gateways, Body Control Modules, Lighting, Power Closures, Seat Controls, Access Systems and Tire Information Systems. This position will be located in Troy, MI. 

Core Responsibilities:
  • Review and evaluate customer requirements related to Cyber Security.
  • Perform high level design work and documentation to support automotive. 
  • Cyber Security implementation in various Body and Security Control Modules.
  • Traceability of customer requirements to system and component design requirements and test requirements.
  • Analyze system for vulnerabilities and design solutions to address them.
  • Support customer meetings to discuss and plan Cyber Security related activities.
  • Support test teams to validate Cyber Security functionality.
  • Support the identification and selection of third­party software security components.
Required Qualifications:
  • SG 10/11: BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science. 
  • SG 10: 3+ years of experience in embedded software development.
  • SG 11: 5+ years of experience in embedded software development.
  • Experience with automotive embedded software in control modules.
  • Experience with automotive CAN networks (CAN, CAN FD, etc).
  • Experience with encryption and authentication methods / standards.
  • Familiarity with microprocessor communications peripherals and memory. architectures.
  • Experience with various testing methodologies.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Cyber Security experience preferred.
  • Experience in design of Cyber Security architectures.
  • Familiarity of test design to confirm Cyber Security performance.
  • Experience with ISO 26262 functional safety concepts and its impact on software development.
  • Familiarity with Flash Boot Loaders relating to Cyber Security.
  • Experience with formal requirements management tools (i.e. DOORS).
  • Familiarity with standardized software development process models (i.e. ASPICE).
