EPRI is recruiting a cyber security analyst to support Cyber security organization in various operational cyber security tasks. Cyber Security Engineer will have at least one (1) year demonstrable professional experience in cyber security role, such as information security product support. This is a great position for those interested to gain exposure to multiple cyber security technologies via hands on experience.    

Job Functions:

  • Generate and distribute Nexpose vulnerability reports and work with individual SMEs on remediation actions

  • Daily threat intelligence gathering and processing from various sources and input into various infosec tools (e.g. bad DNS, URLs)

  • Manage software approval list

  • Manage ticketing queue

  • Conduct ongoing audits on laptop encryption deployment and follow up and resolve systems where not functioning or not installed.

  • Conduct ongoing audits on AV deployment and follow up and resolve systems where not functioning or not installed

  • Identify areas for user access and rights management improvements, such as unnecessary domain access, server access, and local admin rights etc. and develop a plan to address identified gaps and proceed with implementing the plan. Conduct ongoing audits for domain admin and local admin accounts

  • Help with firewall rule implementation and testing

  • Help with ERPM and PKI day to day tending (issuing certificates, auditing certificates, user account administration for escalation)

Education Level and Years of Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience desired.

  • 1-3 year’s technical experience in related fields (information security, computers, telecom, networking, etc.).

  • Passion for cyber security

  • Proficiency in conducting live analysis on networks and across multiple platforms

  • Ability to work extremely well under pressure, while maintaining confidentiality, and a professional image

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Must be very detail-oriented

  • Logic, critical thinking and problem solving capabilities are essential

EPRI participates in E-Verify, an online system operated jointly by the Department of Homeland Security and the Social Security Administration (SSA). EPRI uses the system to check the work status of new hires by comparing information from the employee's I-9 form against SSA and Department of Homeland Security databases.
