Responsibilities:
This Forensics Leader is accountable for providing forensics, e-discovery and investigation support for GE's business legal functions, the investigation centers of excellence, the discovery center of excellence, and key security teams. The leader will be accountable for setting and maintain best practice and providing advisory support services to help protect GE, the brand, and its intellectual property.
  • Leads delivery of forensics, and e-discovery services to GE's businesses, legal teams, centers of excellence and security functions. 
  • Provides high quality cost effective investigations support to key GE leadership teams to protect the companies brand. 
  • Provides management of global Cyber Security forensics team (US, UK, SG) covering all business units and provides strategic forensics direction for people, process, technology with detailed knowledge of the business landscape. 
  • Directly contributes to strategy decision-making for the function and influences senior leaders on cyber security solutions, roadmaps, vendor engagements and strategies 
  • Communicates broadly across the direct organization and with partner Digital organizations and business units within the company. 
  • Responsible for understanding and aligning strategy across peers within the same organization or function. 
  • Works with cross functional teams and cross-business teams and is responsible for driving broad-reaching Cyber Security solutions across the function / business. 
  • Actively challenges direct staff through stretch assignments and efforts to develop future leaders and succession capabilities. 
  • Presents to senior leaders (EB, SEB, VP) within the direct organization and across disciplines on Cyber Security strategy products and service offerings. 
  • Responsible for results and retention of direct staff to include active development of staff to include career path management, coaching / mentoring, and performance feedback.

Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a STEM related Degree 
  • 8+ years' experience in Information Technology 
  • 6 + years' experience in Cyber Security forensics and investigations support 
  • 3 + years' experience leading and managing teams 

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States 
  • Must be able to successfully pass requirements for Top Secret (TS) level clearance
  • Must be willing to work out of office in Glen Allen, VA 
  • Prior experience in leading forensic/eDiscovery teams 
  • Experience in network forensic collections (overt & covert) including cloud service providers 
  • Experience with workflow management tools and case management systems 
  • One or more Security Certifications or equivalent (CISSP, etc.) 
  • Ability to solve very complex security issues that span legal, compliance and regulatory obligations across various lines of business and shared service areas of the company. 
  • Demonstrated thought leader, delivering new, supporting innovation solutions to exceed customer expectations 
  • Experience with the creation, update, modification of current operational policies and processes that require enhancement to accommodate ISO compliance 
  • Proficient use of IT systems and forensic analysis hardware and software tools 
  • Excellent interpersonal, written / verbal communication and leadership skills with the ability to quickly build credibility, influence and make recommendations to all levels 
  • Demonstrated experience embracing "team of teams" way of working 
  • Demonstrated ability in leading technical teams 
  • Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking and leadership 
  • Deep understanding of technical risks and tactics of advanced cyber threat actors 
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills - communicates in a clear and succinct manner, anticipates obstacles and develops plans to resolve 
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment with limited direction 
  • Change oriented - actively defines process improvements, champions and drive change initiatives, confronts difficult circumstances in creative ways, balances multiple and competing priorities and executes accordingly
