The Product Cybersecurity Telecom Test Analyst will provide integrated support of security elements across global programs and services used for the connected vehicle ecosystem. You will serve as an individual contributor with recognized expertise responsible for the implementation of security controls internally to GM and with GM carrier partners.  Product Cybersecurity Telecom Test Analyst will monitor security and industry news for new features, weaknesses, and features that may lead to the design of new active or passive controls that will aid GM in protection of consumers, products, and services.  This individual will have responsibility to work with internal and external teams to define of technical controls, support controls testing, process definition, and provide operational support of controls where required.
  • Define internal and carrier based requirements for telecommunications security that will be used globally.
  • Work with GM internal operations, representing Product Cybersecurity as representative Telecommunications Security Subject Matter Expert.
  • Work with internal stakeholders, internal capability owners, and carrier partners to ensure appropriate controls implementation, testing, and process execution.
  • Serve as escalation point for security related incident engagement, supporting active control implementation as required.
  • Support required work necessary for telecommunication security research and security-based carrier interactions.
  • Vendor management for timing and execution of contracted carrier based deliverables for implementation of active and passive controls, as well as execution performance deliverables from global carrier partners. Work engagement of global telecom carriers may become in-scope over time.
  • Manage and/or perform the develop and document technical capabilities, use cases, test cases, operational playbooks for each carrier to serve as catalogued data for use by technical and leadership teams.
  • Serve as SME for program capabilities, deployment status, and integration.
  • Act as liaison between suppliers and internal technical and business support teams.
  • Coordination of transaction performance monitoring with intent on further development of new requirements, analytics, process management cases in support of detection and response capabilities. (Supported by technical and business support teams).

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent experience may be considered
  • 5+ years of Information Technology experience specifically with networks, firewalls, Intrusion detection, Intrusion prevention, routers, and application performance management experience
  • 2+ years of telecommunications experience
  • Masters degree Information Technology (IT), Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • Design For Six Sigma (DFSS) Black Belt or higher
  • PMP Certification
  • ITIL Certification  
  • Awareness of Global System Mobile Communication (GSM) & Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA)
