Essential Responsibilities

  • As the Sr. Solutions Engineer for HP Cybersecurity’s Risk Management, Data Security Engineering and Awareness team, provide Data Security/Protection solutions engineering, technology roadmaps, and blue prints based on business, technology and security strategies, architectures, and objectives
  • Engineer enterprise-level security solutions and drive technical design & implementations for at minimum:
    • Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
    • Data Encryption
    • Digital Rights Management
    • Secure Backup
    • Tokenization
    • Data Access Governance
  • Serves as a security technical liaison between various stakeholders and senior/ executive management
  • Resolve security technical design issues across multiple teams and managing dependencies between projects that enhance existing capabilities &/or implement new
  • Operate as a technical subject matter expert and advise project teams regarding integration with multiple cyber security technologies
  • Drive costing of all engineering solutions and authoring of SoWs with vendors

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information security, computer science, engineering or related field.
  • Advanced degree preferred; i.e. MBA or MS
  • 8+ years of direct experience
  • Security professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, CISA, CCSP

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Extensive cyber and IT security knowledge
  • Extensive understanding of security standards and best practices
  • Experience building a Data Security / Protection team or program, data classification skills, and a clear understanding of privacy standards and regulations
  • Expert-level skills & experience designing and implementing Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions for large scale companies
  • DLP Application experience with, but definitely not limited to these Vendors:
    • Intel / McAfee DLP solutions (ePO, Network DLP, Host DLP)
    • Microsoft DLP, Office 365 Office Message Encryption & Rights Management Services
    • Microsoft Cortana and Insight
  • Demonstrated experience in engineering cyber security solutions for large organizations
  • Strong domain expertise and technology implementation/ integration experience in Data Security / Protection, Encryption & Key Management and one or more of the following areas:
    • Identity & Access Management
    • End point Security
    • Network Security
    • Application Security
  • Knowledge of applicable industry standards, leading security practices and regulatory requirements
  • Strong interpersonal skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Uncompromising personal and professional integrity and ethics.
  • Strong organization, prioritization, and rationalization skills.
  • Ability to produce and edit messaging and multi-media communications for a variety of target audiences with a high level of attention to detail and creativity.
