Provide Cyber Security (CS) Penetration & IT Systems support to the Joint Strike Fighter- Joint Operation Test Team (JOTT) Integrated Product Team (IPT) located at Edwards Air-force Base, California.  Position will require frequent to extensive travel to CONUS Naval facilities in support JOTT initiatives. Duties will include, but are not limited to:
  • The evaluation and verification of technical and documented information system for compliance with DoD CS directives
  • Attend required meetings and report on current JOTT CS IPT status
  • Provide CS Guidance & Computer Network Defense Analysis
  • Perform requested penetration testing, evaluate and document results
  • Report test findings to Senior JOTT Leadership – Penetration test results to include impact analysis findings.
Qualifications
Education and Experience: 
Requires a BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or a relevant technical discipline and at least 8 years of computer science experience OR an equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, technical training, and work experience.  


Experience should include at least 1 year leading projects that required research and analysis of network protocols, hardware specifications, software vulnerabilities, communication structures, and performing analytics.  Experience providing Cybersecurity guidance, Computer Network Defense (CND) analysis, and/or performing Black, Grey, and/or White box penetration testing would be considered a major plus. 


Prior experience working with technical security controls; programming with Python, PHP, Perl, Ruby, .NET or other interpreted or compiled languages; and applying vulnerability assessment and applying penetration best practices and testing techniques is preferred.  Proficiency with using the internet and with Microsoft products including operating systems, e-mail, Word and Excel is required. 


This position requires Baseline DoD 8570.01M certification for IAT Level II certification (CompTIA Security+ or higher certification) and a current U.S. DoD final Secret Security Clearance.  


Preferred security-related certifications include CISSP, GIAC/GPEN, GIAC/CEH, OSCE, or OSCP.
 

This position is a Jacobs’s position and may be assigned to a teammate company (eLe, NDTI).

  • Working at a computer or desk (Considerations: Sitting, Eyes, Hands) 
  • May involve long periods of sitting or standing depending on current tasking.

  • Normal hours are Monday – Thursday 7:00am – 5:00pm, non-flex Fridays 7:00am to 4:00pm

Other Essential Functions

  • Current driver’s license, car registration and auto insurance required
  • Completion of required certifications required within 6 months of hire date
  • U.S. Citizenship and possession of a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance.
