This position is for a Senior Manager, Cyber Architecture working for Lockheed Martin Enterprise Business Services (EBS), Corporate Information Security (CIS). Sr Manager responsible for the overall security architecture supporting the Lockheed Martin enterprise. Must ensure a cohesive architectural approach and direction to making the security strategy a reality. Architecture to encompass and ensure an integrated approach to applications, infrastructure, network, identity, security services, and operational needs. Manager will be responsible for a small cadre of ~6 architects in meeting this mission.

Stay abreast of emerging industry security trends and threats to help proactively improve the security position of Lockheed Martin and increase the efficiency of security solutions and operations. Establish a culture of enablement that can be observed in the interactions between internal staff and with customers when balancing the protection of the corporation with business needs. Establish effective working relationships with the other components of CIS, EBS, Business Area (BA) IT leadership, BA Information Security Officers (ISOs) representation, and customers.

Provides guidance, direction, leadership, training, and mentoring on the architectural direction and approach. Responsible for developing technical strategy for CIS Security services. Ensures security architecture is in alignment with the architectural direction of other EBS service areas. Supports the development and/or review of technical solutions, standards and proposals. Develops and/or reviews technical success criteria for major milestones, control gates, significant review points. Works with other elements of EBS as needed to ensure security is part of other capabilities and systems. Coordinates technical assessments, trade studies, gap analysis with domain experts. Supports identification and mitigation of technical program issues and risks. Must be willing to work flexible hours and be able to travel as required.


Basic Qualifications
Minimum of 10-15 years of experience:
  • Demonstrated security architecture knowledge and expertise
  • In depth knowledge of industry leading security and infrastructure solutions
  • Demonstrated experience with large enterprises and enterprise architecture
  • Demonstrated ability to develop architecture and strategies that address the interdependencies between infrastructure, platform, and application capabilities across a heterogeneous environment
  • Ability to assess new technology, associated risks, and risk mitigations
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking skills
  • Excellent relationship builder with demonstrated ability to team across functions and businesses
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others to gain support
  • Strong decision maker who can manage polarities
  • Demonstrated business acumen and ability to anticipate needs and drive success

Desired skills
  • Excel at delivering impactful approaches that provide a balance between information security and business needs
  • Demonstrated experience with lead architectural role in program deliverables
  • Demonstrated knowledge of information security, identity and access management, authentication services, network infrastructure and end-point security
  • Demonstrated experience and in-depth architectural understanding of Active Directory and associated services
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of platform security and management functions for Windows, UNIX, and Linux operating systems.
  • Demonstrated experience with enterprise network infrastructure and horizontal integration across core enterprise services
  • Familiarity with associated governmental and agency directives, regulations, and controls
  • CISSP or other security certifications - Incident Response, Forensics experience - STRIDE, DREAD experience - External conference presentation and published paper experience/skills
  • Demonstrated expertise in systems engineering processes
  • Demonstrated experience in enterprise risk management
  • Active SCI Clearances
