*** This position, though posted in certain metropolitan areas, can be performed virtually from any location in the United States with reliable internet and telecommunications capabilities. ***

The primary role will be supporting the development of secure architectures, penetration testing activities and security assessments across a suite of programs within Lockheed Martin. This position will focus on embedded cyber design, support, and testing for various platforms above and beyond the standard enterprise IT system. Reverse engineering and tampering with hardware to discover new vulnerabilities. The penetration testing may also include network, web application, wireless testing. Analysis of previous security findings, re-testing and verification of security fixes. Secondary role includes security operations, monitoring and incident response support. This penetration testing role requires a senior level penetration tester who has performed a variety of penetration tests across multiple complex environments and applications. The successful candidate should be able to handle most security assessments independently with little training on testing methodologies and tools. The position includes, but is not limited to: penetration testing, information security consulting, peer knowledge transfer, process development, and technical writing. Specific tasks include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Embedded Cyber
  • Building Security into the Lifecycle
  • Information Gathering and system discovery
  • Vulnerability analysis and exploitation
  • Remediation recommendation and support
  • Security assessment report generation including technical write-ups
  • Security testing lab infrastructure installation, support, and administration
Basic Qualifications
  • Hardware Reverse Engineering
  • Ability to conduct a wide variety of penetration testing activities including network penetration testing, web application penetration testing, wireless penetration testing and some user awareness (social engineering) testing
  • Demonstrated broad background in information security tools, concepts and issues across a broad range of technologies including Network and Software Security, Network Penetration Testing, Web Application Penetration testing by related work experience
  • Familiarity with a variety of penetration testing tools and methodologies
  • Knowledge of security policy and compliance
  • Experience with Network and Application Layer Firewall Technology
  • Effective teaming skills (both internally and with external agencies)
  • Experience with all versions of Microsoft Windows, Apple, and Linux operating systems
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills

Desired skills
  • Bachelors and/or Masters Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
  • Hardware Design Experience with FPGA, Integrated Circuits, Secure CPU Design and Processing.

  • Anti-Tamper Exploitation
