Overview
This position is for an Information Security professional working for Lockheed Martin (LM) Enterprise Business Services (EBS) in Corporate Information Security (CIS).

The primary focus of the position will be security engineering in support of cloud hosted efforts. This position supports all business areas within the Enterprise.


Duties of this position will include:
  • Designing and validating security standards, policies and solutions that align with the dynamic and agile nature of Cloud environments.
  • Documenting and communicating the security standards, policies and solutions to allow for quicker and easier adoption.
  • Partnering with programs and business areas to deliver security design and architecture solutions
  • Driving the use and implementation of automation as a first approach solution
  • Providing technical guidance for architecture decisions involving Cloud security and client system integration including IoT style devices
  • Developing governance models for Cloud-based solutions including SaaS, COTS/FOSS deployments on.
  • Developing the overall cloud strategy and communicating strategic objectives to stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of data center processes and specifically cloud environment architecture and infrastructure.
  • Security Engineering: Define security requirements, develop and execute test cases and design and implement solutions to secure cloud and support associated services in accordance with policies, procedures, standards and best practices.
  • Documenting and communicating the security standards, policies and solutions to allow for quicker and easier adoption.

This is a dynamic, fast-paced environment where quick ramp-up and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities is expected. The ability to work effectively in a virtual team will enable success for the individual in this role as well as the team.

Basic Qualifications
Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience with information technology and cyber security / information assurance:
  • Understanding of cloud computing design and security principles
  • Experience designing and documenting recommended security reference architecture for computing environments.
  • Delivering security solutions for risks pertaining to malware, encryption, data loss prevention, access rights/admin privileges.
  • Interpreting Corporate policies into executable requirements.
  • Knowledge of Information Assurance and security engineering principles including security testing.
  • Applying effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain, at a minimum, a secret level clearance

Desired skills
  • Recognized security certification (CISSP, CEH or others)
  • Recognized cloud certification (CSSP, AWS CSA, CompTIA Cloud+, CCSK or others)
  • Advanced knowledge of cloud technologies. Amazon Web Services preferred, but other cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, OpenStack and others are relevant as well.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services
  • Experience with Internet of Things platforms
  • Knowledge of common DevOps tools such as Chef, Puppet, Jenkins, Git
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing agile frameworks for project lifecycle
  • CEH, CISSP, CISM or other recognized security certification
  • Proven effective communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)
  • Proven effective teaming skills (co-located and virtual)
  • Proven ability to independently identify and problem solve issues with minimal direction from leadership
  • Experience performing threat analysis and threat modeling, implementing mitigating solutions and driving technical risk management decisions in support of business requirements
  • Writing and debugging at least one of the following scripting languages (Javascript, Python)
  • Demonstrated understanding / proficiency in application containerization, APIs, web services
