Working independently, the Epic Security Analyst II is responsible for installing and configuring the Epic client software. The analyst should be familiar with networking and Windows server operating systems. The Epic Security Analyst II will perform work on new project installations, Epic software release upgrades, and /or system performance management projects. The Epic Security Analyst II will monitor, troubleshoot and triage device issues, and will oversee the installation of client installs via Admin Install point. The Epic Security Analyst II is responsible for ensuring that all workstations and printers deployed to support clinics live on Epic are functioning correctly, resulting in a positive end user experience after each go live. 

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Successfully achieve certification in Epic Security
  2. Be current with Epic New Version Training (NVT) certification
  3. Troubleshoot and resolve Windows file, print and web servers services issues
  4. Demonstrate proficiency with IIS, FTP / SFTP, TCPIP, Manage file and print servers
  5. Demonstrate proficiency with Windows servers and OS platforms
  6. Demonstrate ability to determine workstation upgrade needs and initial workstation configuration requirements
  7. Ability to work independently with minimal or no supervision and appropriately manage priorities and tasks
  8. Liaise with all levels of staff and management from Infrastructure, facilities, and engineering departments to ensure devices are deployed in a seamless fashion and client expectations are met.
  9. Troubleshoot and resolve Epic technical issues

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Proven ability to work on a variety of projects
  • Knowledge of client server architecture
  • Knowledge of IIS
  • Knowledge of UNIX
  • Current Microsoft (MCSE) Certification
  • Citrix Certification
Three to five years' experience in a similar/related position
