The Cybersecurity Engineering Intern will support the Information Security team by participating in appropriate security activities which may include: vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, digital forensics, reporting and communication.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • VULNERABILITY ANALYSIS – Performs routine vulnerability scans against specified systems, analyzes the results, and works with business units to remediate systems.
  • PENETRATION TESTING - Develop penetration testing tactics, techniques and procedures and performs penetration tests against various systems which may include web applications, databases, web services, networks, operating systems, network devices, and Nissan/Infiniti Vehicles.
  • DIGITAL FORENSICS – familiarity with digital forensic tools and security incident response.
  • REPORTING & COMMUNICATION – Develop reports and communicate Information Security team results with representatives of business units, technology specialists, and vendors.

Qualifications Education 
Significant progress toward a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or cybersecurity

Specialized Knowledge
  • Familiarity with security testing tools such as Nessus, nmap, Burpe Suite, Metasploit, etc.
  • Understanding of security testing concepts
  • Experience with Linux and Windows
  • Familiarity with major programming language such as C/C++ or Java and strong scripting skills in at least one common language (Python, Perl, Ruby, etc)
  • Good understanding of software fundamental including software design, algorithm development, code modularity, and maintainability
  • Familiarity with CAN protocol and other automotive specific network and communication concepts
