Do you enjoy the challenge of leading a group of highly skilled engineers working multi-disciplinary software development in a dynamic operational environment? Then take the lead of this cohesive DevOps team as they plan and implement solutions to support Department of Defense cyber defense operations.

  • 10+ years developing full-stack software solutions in a high-level programming language such as Java, Python, or C++, including use of COTS and FOSS technologies. Familiarity with web technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript required.
  • Eleven (11) years experience in software development and maintenance (i.e. software requirements analysis and software design including object oriented analysis and design, coding, testing, documentation, configuration management, user training, deployment, and lifecycle maintenance.)
  • Documented formal training on the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) Capability Maturity Model Integration for Development (CMMI-DEV) model or documented experience working on projects that applied some portions of this model.
  • Documented formal training on DOD standards for software testing and documentation or documented experience working on projects that applied these standards.
  • Strong Linux development and administration skills, including packaging software for turnkey deployment for development, integration, and production environments.
  • Previous experience leading teams of up to 10 software engineers using Agile methodologies including Scrum.
  • Strong communication and planning skills and demonstrated ability to work together on an inter-disciplinary team with several overlapping objectives and teammates.
  • Leader by example who set a high bar professional and technology and encourages others to achieve the same. Constantly strives to leverage best technologies and practices to provide maximum value to our customers.
  • Experience creating Splunk dashboards and applications.
  • Experience performing automated testing at the integration and user-acceptance level.
  • Familiarity with common software tools including Jira, Confluence, Gitlab, and Redmine.
  • Ability to pick up new technologies, quickly review and integrate new libraries.
  • Ability to quickly extract and leverage technology from existing mature applications.
