Overview
Raytheon Intelligence, Information and Services (IIS) is seeking a Cyber Engineer to work as part of a technical support team delivering the Information Assurance and Cyber services to the program using a variety of in-house, free and open source software, and commercial tools to include Solarwinds, Nessus, Wireshark, Metasploit, Kali, Burpsuite, John the Ripper, Metasploit, CORE Impact, etc. to evaluate the security posture of the information systems and products.

The Cyber Security Assessment Engineer is responsible for providing Information Assurance and Cyber capabilities and support to multiple programs. The Cyber Security Engineer will actively test, analyze, and report on potential security findings by utilizing approved security monitoring & assessment tools.


Clearance:
Must be a U.S. CITIZEN with a Current - DoD Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance

Required Skills:
  • Experience leading a team through build stages of Linux and Windows from a networking perspective
  • A DoDI 8570.01-M IAT Level II Compliant Certification (CISSP, CEH, GSEC, SSCP, SEC+)
  • Working knowledge and understanding of network protocols and common services such as DNS, FTP, email, TCP/ICMP/UDP
  • History providing solutions for security assessment tools, analysis, and reporting and has hands-on experience as well
  • Experience with working in and/or understanding of a multi-level security networked environment
  • History analyzing, assessing, and reporting on the findings, impacts, recommendations and risk of detected potential threats on production systems by reviewing ongoing tools output
  • Have worked effectively and collaboratively with functional groups to investigate fix actions associated with security findings
  • Ability to create, update, and maintain documentation, diagrams, and security documentation. (i.e. Concept of Operations, References, Standard Operating Procedures)
  • Strong communication skills to include providing regular weekly status reporting to leadership
  • Capable of working with a dynamic team and customer environment, effectively communicating with both internal and external groups
  • Hands-on experience with security assessment tools, analysis, and reporting.
  • Knowledge of Cyber Security Assessment Engineering
  • Ability to travel for on-site engagement.

Desired Skills:
  • Security Controls Testing / Vulnerability Assessment
  • Familiarity with ICD 503, Assessment and Authorization
  • Experience with IA policy, procedures, and requirements to ensure secure solution implementation and adherence

Required Education:
8 years with a BS/BA in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics or a related area; or 6 years with a MS/MA in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics or a related area; or 4 years with a PHD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics or a related area
