Overview


 
Lead a group of Cyber Security professionals that are changing the way information security is practiced by building and expanding the capability to identify and address security risks before they become issues. Improve security processes and systems through data-driven insight to identify and limit exposure to risks and areas of exploitation to drive an industry leading approach to data protection.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of resources responsible for the design, implementation and management of Continuous Security Monitoring & Testing (CSMT) platform, ensuring key security requirements are identified and monitored, risks, and issues are addressed and appropriate management reporting exists.
  • Ensure the CSMT capability is closely aligned to internal security standards and compliance programs, with consideration also given to industry best-practices.
  • Maintain existing Security & Compliance tools and develop a roadmap for additional capabilities.
  • Enforce and grow a culture focused on proactive risk management, both within the Security & Compliance function as well as across the broader Walt Disney Parks & Resorts Technology organization.
  • Develop and manage effective working relationships with other departments, groups, and team.
  • Perform managerial responsibilities including people management and development of team, performance reviews, and financial budget management.
  • Prioritize work efforts based on risk.

Basic Qualifications

  • Eight years’ experience working in IT security.
  • Domain knowledge in technical areas, such as:
    • UNIX (AIX, Linux, HP-UX, Solaris)
    • Windows
    • IDS/IPS
    • HIPS/HIDS
    • Firewall
    • Encryptions standards
    • Wireless Security
  • Experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining security monitoring solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of information security principles, standards, practices and technologies for various applications and operating systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, analytical, interpersonal interaction, and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills with an ability to develop creative and innovative solutions.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Security accreditation preferred (industry security certifications, for example CISSP or CISM)
  • Knowledge of regulatory environments (PCI, SOX)
  • Project management experience and discipline

Required Education

Four-year degree or greater in field such as Computer Science or Information Technology, or equivalent years of experience
