About Applications Development at UPS Technology:

Our Application Development teams use their expertise in programming languages and software design to develop next-generation technology. They are responsible for developing the applications which track and move up to 38 million packages in a single day (4.7 billion annually). This team works closely with all of our customers to bild innovative technologies that are customized to drive our business and provide the ultimate customer experience. As an App Developer, you will help UPS grow and provide valuable services across the globe.

About this role:

The Applications Development Manager leads the analysis and design of quality technical solutions.  He/She is involved in full systems life cycle management (i.e., analyses, technical requirements, design, coding, testing, and implementation of systems and applications software) delivered on time and within budget.  This position participates in component and data architecture design, technology planning, and testing for Applications Development (AD) initiatives to meet business requirements and ensure compliance.  This position develops and leads AD project plans and integrations and collaborates with teams and supports emerging technologies.  He/She is responsible for the work of others, resource allocations, and decision-making affecting the success of assigned projects (i.e., results, deadlines, and budget).  This position provides consultation, training, and subject matter expertise for applications’ development, maintenance, and support.

Application Development Manager required to lead team that will be responsible for Compliance and Security in Global Logistics space. ADM will work with internal stakeholders/SMEs, external customers and vendors to ensure that GLD applications are compliant (Healthcare, SSAE, SOx, etc) and secure.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Intermediate-level proficiency with Malware Reverse Engineering
  • Advanced- level proficiency with ethical hacking/pentesting, cyber threat analysis
  • Expert- level proficiency with critical security controls
  • Advanced- level proficiency with ethical hacking 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
