**This role will be for second shift**  The hours are 4pm to midnight Monday – Friday.

Individuals in this position will function at a senior analyst level in a 24/7/365 operations environment, ensuring the security and protection of systems data and analyzing and implementing procedures to ensure the protection, conservation, and accountability of proprietary, personal, or privileged electronic data. The individuals will work directly with other teams and departments, analyzing issues/incidents, establishing/working war rooms, diagnosing issue severity, computing problem resolution and recovery. These individuals will resolve or work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to resolve issues. If unable to do so, they will, in collaboration with the SMEs, determine the escalation of issues.

Major Responsibilities

  • Serves as an analyst, working alone, with other analysts, or with SMEs, to determine the severity and complexity of issues pertaining to the security and protection of systems data, to ensure the protections, conservation and accountability of proprietary, personal, or privileged electronic data.
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents, offering collaboration in an effort to ensure prompt and effective resolution.
  • Collaborates with director, managers, project managers, architects, and other individuals to ensure continuity and communication across teams.
  • Collaborates with director, managers, and other technical personnel to ensure mitigation of risks to the company.
  • Promotes continued integration of technological advances to further enhance security and reduce risks.
  • Able to work in 24hour on-call environment
     

Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants need to meet the qualifications listed in this posting.

Requirements:

  • 2 or more years of IT security and/or network experience
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in security or networking field (additional 2 years)
  • Strong technical knowledge with authentication and security protocols
  • Knowledge of trouble isolation, log analysis, TCP dump, Wireshark
  • Experience with large enterprise firewall implementations (Palo Alto Networks experience preferred)
  • Experience with Enterprise change control processes

Assets:

  • Experience with proxy servers (Blue Coat and/or Cisco Ironport preferred)
  • Experience with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) systems
  • Experience using a SIEM for troubleshooting (ArcSight preferred)
